Greetings | Good Times | Good Givin’ | Food Scene | The Tool Shed
Meanderings, Maunderings, & Mumblings…I saw this catchy, alliterative catch-phrase while researching “Friends” groups of Libraries, near and far, since I have recently joined the Board of Friends of the Mill Valley Library. I’m a total nerd when it comes to all things Library-related. I’m so excited for this chapter and hope my nearly 30 years’ experience in marketing, PR and events for HBO will help jazz things up and encourage your support of this local gem too. If you aren’t a current member of the Friends, won't you join me?
Now that summer is seemingly half-over, I find myself in a period of longing. What exactly am I pining for? When I really take the time to listen to myself, I realize it is to accomplish something: maybe it’s mastering a challenging recipe, picking up pickleball, finishing the first draft of the novel I’m 3/4 of the way through, or simply Musing about these things...so here we are! I'll be back in two weeks.
Cheers, Suzanne

Good Givin' | A Worthy Cause
When I first moved to MV, volunteering with this org was a win/win. I got to be around food, shop for food and collect food recovery for this resourceful NGO that thinks globally but acts locally. They recently celebrated 10 years serving Marin communities facing food insecurity.
Shifts are convenient and available to suit your schedule with an easy minimum commitment of two food rescues per month.

THE TOOL SHED | IS ADU 4 U?
By Michael Twing (Contractor's License #891692)
I'm chatting with an old friend of mine the other day about an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) he wants to build out of an under-used, attached garage. Little does he know the depth and breadth of activities required to get this done. In order to demystify the process for my friend and help him decide if he is truly ready to embark on this project, I put this list together. It represents most but not all activities needed for a construction project like an ADU.
